Domestic Workers
Program InformationLa Colmena (The Beehive) Domestic Worker Program We organize housecleaners, nannies, and caregivers, providing trainings and support to build the collective power of domestic workers in Houston. We raise awareness about domestic workers’ rights in order to ensure a community in which all work is respected and all workers have a right to a sustainable job. Why do we call ourselves the beehive? We work in close collaboration, we build homes with love, our work is as sweet and sacred as honey, and when we are under attack, we sting!
